The collection contains a library of 35mm slides covering a wide range of topics, along with some supporting materials. The collection includes field work photographs from expeditions, collection and specimen imagery, AMNH photo studio images of buildings, events, and exhibit photographs, and more. Some slides duplicate negative and print collections.

Abstract

Travel photographs taken mostly of animals in Africa including lions, hyena, African buffalo, elephants, leopards, cheetahs, a hippopotamus, crocodiles, zebras, and a black rhinoceros. Also includes a few images of women spinning silk in Cyprus and one slide taken in Kashgai, Pakistan, of a donkey with two riders and their possessions.
