The collection contains a library of 35mm slides covering a wide range of topics, along with some supporting materials. The collection includes field work photographs from expeditions, collection and specimen imagery, AMNH photo studio images of buildings, events, and exhibit photographs, and more. Some slides duplicate negative and print collections.

Photographs taken in Botswana and Namibia, mostly of animals. Areas include Chobe, Salvadura, Etosha, San-ta-Wani, Savuti, Khwai, Skeleton Closet, Goas, Kalkheuwel, Halili, Okaukuejo, Ombika, Himba, Shakawe, Chudop, Klein Namutoni, Victoria Falls, Helro, and Homob.
