The collection contains a library of 35mm slides covering a wide range of topics, along with some supporting materials. The collection includes field work photographs from expeditions, collection and specimen imagery, AMNH photo studio images of buildings, events, and exhibit photographs, and more. Some slides duplicate negative and print collections.

Abstract

Color images of spiders including wolf spiders (Lycosidae) in Boxes 1 and 2 including photos taken in California, Florida, Montana, Oklahoma, Utah and Washington;̀ jumping spiders (Salticidae) in Boxes 3 and 4 including photos taken in Alabama, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, North Carolina, Texas, and Ontario, Canada; spiders (Mygalomorphs) in Box 5; and miscellaneous depictions of spiders in their natural habitats and spider webs in Box 6, including photos taken in Alachua, Liberty, Marion and Putnam County, Florida.
