The collection contains a library of 35mm slides covering a wide range of topics, along with some supporting materials. The collection includes field work photographs from expeditions, collection and specimen imagery, AMNH photo studio images of buildings, events, and exhibit photographs, and more. Some slides duplicate negative and print collections.

Abstract

Photographs of animals, plants, and views from Mt. Desert Biological Station (Salisbury Cove, Maine). Animals include harbor seals, raccoons, bears, a screech owl, starfish, jellyfish, crabs, and mussels. Majority of the photographs taken in Maine, some taken in New York.
