Albert Operti was born in Turin, Italy in 1852 and died in New York in 1927. He was an artist with 1896 and 1897 Peary Expeditions. Worked as an artist in American Museum of Natural History Exhibit and Preparation Department 1912-1927. Studied Arctic history; made 2 voyages to Arctic with R.E. Peary; "Rescue of the Greely Party" and "Farthest North"
