Assistant Curator (AMNH Ethnology)

Livingston Farrand of Columbia University accompanied Franz Boas on the initial thrust of the Jesup North Pacific Expedition in 1897 and subsequently wrote on the Chilcotin and Quinault and on the basketry designs of the Salish. Farrand was the expedition leader on the American Museum of Natural History Villard Expedition to Oregon
