"Wilderness America" was photographic exhibition illustrating the history of the wilderness system in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of the Wilderness Act, which designated 90 million acres of federal land as preserves.

"Wilderness America" was photographic exhibition illustrating the history of the wilderness system in conjunction with the 25th anniversary of the Wilderness Act, which designated 90 million acres of federal land as preserves. The exhibition looked at the attitude of Americans toward the wilderness and examined its value for recreation, spiritual refreshment, and study. It was on view in the Akeley Gallery of the American Museum of Natural History through January 19, 1992.
