Summary
"Exhibit of the Month: Three Types of Rocks" featrued three rock groups found on earth--tektites, meteorites, and basaltic lavas--considered by scientists to represent rocks which are found on the moon. They rocks were gathered and labeled by D.M. Vincent Manson, Chairman and Assistant Curator of the Museum's Department of Mineralogy. The exhibition was on view in the 77th Street Foyer of the American Museum of Natural History starting July 23 through July 31, 1969.
