Summary

"Uncut Minerals in Jewelry " demonstrated the use of natural uncut gem crystals for modern jewelry. It was announced by Frederick H. Plough, Curator of Physical Geology and Mineralogy at the Museum. The exhibition featured 21 new jewelry designs by Pearl S. Shecter which emphasized the beauty and form of the uncut crystals; the designs were executed by Agnes Schleicher. The exhibition was on view in the Morgan Memorial Hall of Minerals and Gems at the American Museum of Natural History from November 30, 1948 through January 1949.
