Scope and Contents
The materials contained in this collection are housed under the categories: Bills, Requisitions, Accessions, Shipping Requests, and Donations. Each category has its own arrangement and box numbering system, resulting in a collection with repeating box numbers. To identify the correct box for a category, the Historic Call Number (1:6, 1:7, see Additional Description) for the category is placed before the date range of the materials. Bills Box A (1:6; 1927-1953, 1962) contains copies of bills sent by AMNH for equipment and specimens. Requisitions Box B (1:6; 1949-1950) contains copies of requests for supplies and bill payments. Accessions Boxes 1-2 (1:6; 1894-1972) contain specimen records. Shipping Requests Boxes 1-4 (1:7; 1913-1977) contain shipping requests and notices. Donations oversized wrapped package (1:6; Jul 1894 – Dec 25, 1910) contains a ledger titled “List of Donations, Department of Vertebrate Paleontology, AMNH.”
