Reproduction of the medal awarded to Lincoln Elsworth by the 74th Congress of the United States for claiming part of Antarctica for the United States. It was approved and signed by Franklin D. Roosevelt.The original was dated on June 16, 1936, and it was donated to the American Museum of Natural History on April 7, 1971.
