Two individuals in profile, one foot raised, one on nest. Background of sky, hills and grass. Painted in Edinburgh, Tympanuchus phasianellus. Inscription: Label on back "Scotch Grouse painted by J.J. Audubon." Frame: Blue wood frame, glazed.
