The collection contains a library of 35mm slides covering a wide range of topics, along with some supporting materials. The collection includes field work photographs from expeditions, collection and specimen imagery, AMNH photo studio images of buildings, events, and exhibit photographs, and more. Some slides duplicate negative and print collections.

Abstract

Travel photographs of Africa taken by Oscar Byron and Verna Byron on a "seafari". Places include South Africa, Kenya, Egypt, Morocco (Tangier). South Africa: Capetown, Pretoria, Durban, Victoria Falls. Kenya: Mt. Kilimanjaro, Lake Rudolf, Treetops. Egypt: Aden, Suez, Cairo, Giza, Luxor. Possibly used in a slide presentation.
