The collection contains a library of 35mm slides covering a wide range of topics, along with some supporting materials. The collection includes field work photographs from expeditions, collection and specimen imagery, AMNH photo studio images of buildings, events, and exhibit photographs, and more. Some slides duplicate negative and print collections.

Abstract

Close up photographs of fish and marine invertebrates, some taken in the AMNH Hall of Ocean Life. Some animals include starfish, lungfish (coelacanth), seahorse, octopus, eel, coral, barnacles, goldfish, shrimp, and a man-trap clam. Includes images of models.

condition reviewed 20110826 good; contains non-archival adhesive - smells like bandages; a few slides are discolored
