Abstract:

Exhibition. Opened in 1990 and closed 1991. Located in Section 9, Floor 4 in the Hall of Late Dinosaurs at the American Museum of Natural History. "Back to the Gobi" was an exhibition highlighting dinosaur and reptile fossils discovered by Museum scientists during a 1990 expedition to Mongolia's Gobi desert and placed those discoveries in context with discoveries made by Museum explorer Roy Chapman Andrews in the 1920's.

"Back to the Gobi" was an exhibition highlighting dinosaur and reptile fossils discovered by Museum scientists during a 1990 expedition to Mongolia's Gobi desert and placed those discoveries in context with discoveries made by Museum explorer Roy Chapman Andrews in the 1920's. An Arthur Ross Exhibit of the Month, the exhibit was on view in the Hall of Late Dinosaurs of the American Museum of Natural History during 1990 and 1991.
