Artist

Ushinosuke Narahara was a staff member in the Exhibition Department of the American Museum of Natural History from 1920 through 1943. He was renowned for the botanical models he created for dioramas in the Halls of Asian, north American and African Mammals and the Whitney Memorial Hall of Pacific Bird Life. The AMNH Library has a background sketch for the Neanderthal miniature group done by Narahara
