Osteologist, Photographer, and Associate Curator Emeritus

Samuel Harmsted Chubb was an osteologist affiliated with the American Museum of Natural History. He was an Associate Curator of Comparative Anatomy. He studied the movements of animals, primarily horses and other equids, by photographing them in successive intervals in order to mount skeletons in dynamic positions. Chubb died in 1949
