Summary
"A Wood Full of Birds" featured two sculptures of American birds, a wild turkey and a great blue heron, by Vermont artists B. Porter Brown and his wife Mary Brown. Each was placed in a habitat setting that was carved to simulate the natural environment of the birds. The carvings were on view in the Roosevelt Rotunda of the American Museum of Natural History from October 30, 1981 until mid-January 1982.
