Summary

"Outer Mongolia" featured 55 black and white and color photographs by the photographer-reporter Lisa Larsen. Larsen's photographs of her 1,000 mile journey across Mongolia revealed a land of striking contrasts: developing industrialization and traditional nomadic life. The exhibition was on view in the Corner Gallery of the American Museum of Natural History from March 10 through April 28, 1957.
