Summary
"Birds in Color" featured 50 color photographs by Eliot Porter of birds from all parts of the United States. Porter photographed the birds so that every detail of their marking was clearly visible and every color was exactly as seen in nature. The exhibition, which was circulated by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service, was on view in the Corner Gallery of the American Museum of Natural History from October 1 through October 22, 1953.
