Summary

"Flora and Fauna" was an exhibition of paintings by Helene Castori Jourde featuring exotic animals, birds, and flowers. Mme. Jourde's fascination with the flora and fauna of the tropics was reflected in her paintings of jungle plants, tropical fish, animals, and birds. Also on view was a painting of her estate in Brittany, France, where before WWII wild animals roamed the grounds. The paintings were on view in the Corner Gallery of the American Museum of Natural History from March 6 through March 29, 1953.
