1953 January 9 - 1953 February 5
Summary
"Patterns in Seaweed" was an exhibition of seaweed arrangements by Sally Armbruster designed to show the intrinsic beauty of underwater plant life. The work was divided into four groups: pressed seaweeds, comparative arrangements showing differences in land and sea plants, watercolor enlargements of microscopic sections, and hydroids, animals often mistaken for seaweed. The approximately 40 pieces were on view in the Corner Gallery at the American Museum of Natural History from January 9 through February 5, 1953.
