Summary

"The Western Hemisphere Looks at its Future" examined complete dependence of man upon his physical environment. The exhibition examined man's dependence on water; nature's balanced forces and man's disruption of that balance; and what man must know to protect nature's vital resources. Prepared for the Inter-American Conference on Conservation of Renewable Natural Resources by the Department of State, the exhibition was on view in the 77th Street Foyer of the American Museum of Natural History from March 10 through April 9, 1950.
