Exhibition. Opened February 17, 1948 and closed March 14, 1948. Located in the Corner Gallery at the American Museum of Natural History. "Hans H. Namuth Photography," was the first exhibition of the photographs taken by veteran freelance photographer Hans D. Namuth and featured approximately 50 black and white photographs taken by Namuth on a trip to Guatemala.

Summary

"Hans H. Namuth Photography," was the first exhibition of the photographs taken by veteran freelance photographer Hans D. Namuth and featured approximately 50 black and white photographs taken by Namuth on a trip to Guatemala. Namuth was born in Germany and fled the Nazis. He then covered the Spanish Civil War and joined the French Foreign Legion before coming the United States. The exhibition was on view in the Corner Gallery at the American Museum of Natural History from February 17 through March 14, 1948.
