Exhibition. Opened in May 16, 1938 and closed June 5, 1938. Located in the Grand Gallery at the American Museum of Natural History. "Fishing Equipment" told the story of fishing through the equipment used by fishermen, ranging from ancient times to the present.

Summary

"Fishing Equipment" told the story of fishing through the equipment used by fishermen, ranging from ancient times to the present. Ancient fishhooks, floats, lines and sinkers made by primitive mound builders of North and South American, Eskimos, Northwest Coast Indians, and South Sea Island natives were exhibited along with modern equipment designed by the finest craftsmen of the day. The exhibit was on view in the foyer of the 77th St. entrance of the American Museum of Natural History from May 16 through June 5, 1938.
