Summary
"The Nature of New York City: Photographs by the Sierra Club" was an exhibition displaying photographs taken by the members of the Photography Committee of the New York City group of the Sierra Club explored nature on the streets of New York. The 37 color photographs on view illustrated how nature survives in the city and transforms the landscape. The exhibit was on view in the Akeley Gallery of the American Museum of Natural History from April 27 through September, 1989.
