Exhibition. Opened February 11, 1981 and closed March 22, 1981. Located on Floor 1 in the Education Gallery at the American Museum of Natural History. The Story of Diamonds covered the origin, mining, and cutting of diamonds.

Summary

The Story of Diamonds covered the origin, mining, and cutting of diamonds. Before coming to the Museum the exhibition toured the U.S. for two years under the auspices of the Diamond Information Center and was under the supervision of the Department of Mineral Sciences when it came to the Museum (1; 2, p. 29). The exhibition was presented in a series of six self-contained modules, some of which featured films or slides (1).
