Summary

"Humanity's River" was a photographic exhibition sponsored by the Scenic Hudson Preservation Conference. In this exhibit of 25 photographs and a videotape that incorporated 140 color slides, photo-journalist Ted Spiegel depicted the beauty of the river as well as the recreational and industrial uses and abuses along its course. The musical accompaniment on the videotape was provided by Brother Fred Kirkpatrick, Pete Seeger and the Clearwater Musicians. The exhibit was on view in the Hall of Ocean Life of the American Museum of Natural History from January 15 through April 15, 1979.
