Summary
"Boricua--Aqui y Alla" (Puerto Ricans--Here and There), a major audio-visual exhibition dealing exclusively with Puerto Rican life and culture in NYC and Puerto Rico, went on display. A 20 minute audio-visual show was presented with a specially-constructed stand-up theater equipped with three screens and five mirrors to provide a feeling of total immersion in the subject.486 slides and a complete soundtrack went with the show. The show was conceived and designed by Puerto Rican artist Ralph Ortiz who also took a large portions of the photos. Other leading photographers were Felipe Dante and Richard Globus. The technical aspects of the exhibition were designed and installed by the Museum of The Media of New York City. The exhibit was on view in the Corner Gallery of the American Museum of Natural History starting March 2, 1971.
