Summary
Partners in Discovery highlighted 75 years of collaboration between the American Museum of Natural History and the National Geographic Society. The exhibition highlighted explorers, scientists, naturalists, artists, and expedition leaders and members such as Robert E. Peary, Richard E. Byrd, Theodore Roosevelt, Lincoln Ellsworth, Roy Chapman Andrews, Frank Chapman, Donald B. MacMillan, T. Donald Carter, E. Thomas Gilliard, Crawford H. Greenwalt, Paul A. Zahl, Matthew Henson, and Walter Weber. Donald B. MacMillan, 90 years old at the time, T. Donald Carter, E. Thomas Gilliard, and Paul A. Zahl were present for a press preview of the exhibition (1, p. 1-5).
